Education

After graduating with my Associate of Arts in Music Business at Northwest Mississippi Community College, I went on to attend classes at Delta State University where I majored in Entertainment Industry Studies. It was there that I discovered my passion for video editing.

Work Experience

An office desk with multiple monitors, cameras, microphones, and various electronic equipment, with diplomas and certificates on the wall and a plush lion toy on the window sill.

I was hired at SWM Blauer Manufacturing in 2020 as a video designer. This is where my full potential started to come alive.

A room set up for filming or streaming, with a large 'Blauer' sign on the wall, a police uniform on display, two black leather couches, a white chair, professional lighting equipment, and a window showing a blurred video screen.

While working at Blauer, I wanted my videos to get better and better. I studied new techniques, enhanced my skillset with problem solving, and transformed SWM Blauer’s whole media outlet.

Presentation stage set up with a blue, red, white, and black backdrop. There are two speakers on each side of the stage, plants, a desk, and a microphone. Several people are seated in front, facing the stage. The event appears to be in a large warehouse or store.

I ended up creating videos for the CEO’s themselves when they would come to our plant.

Accomplishments

Stage decorated with patriotic American themes, featuring an American flag, table with hats, and mannequin dressed in camouflage military uniform, set against black curtains with blue banners reading 'Home of the Free' and 'Because of the Brave' in an indoor venue.

During a Veteran's Day program Blauer was hosting onstage in the plant, right before our presentation was to begin, I was tasked with setting up a video call that would allow one of our veteran employees, who was at home recovering from surgery at the time, be able to see and speak to everyone in the camera's view. I plugged my MacBook Pro into a TV that was mounted on a rolling stand and we FaceTimed this employee through my MacBook and the TV. Despite it being a last-minute task, it became the highlight of the event.

Computer screen displaying a 3D rendered scene of a cozy, wood-paneled room with a decorated Christmas tree, a fireplace with stockings, two chairs and a small table, a window showing a snowy outdoor scene, and various editing tools visible on the screen.

Over the course of 5 months, I taught myself how to model and animate 3D objects. This allowed me to produce a Christmas animation for my employer that was so successful, it was shown to the CEO of the company. The CEO proceeded to show my animation to all of the company's branches in the United States.

A Facebook post that I created for a job listing for my employer went viral. It had over 80,000 views and we received well over 150 applications. This post going viral single-handedly gave the company an entire night shift crew in just one day.
